Stuart Jones

Forestry Project Manager

Originally from Ontario, Stu moved west a decade ago to pursue a career in forestry in British Columbia. Over the past ten years, he has worked extensively in the forests surrounding Prince George, gaining hands-on experience and advancing his education. He holds a Forestry Diploma from the College of New Caledonia and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Northern British Columbia.

Stu began his career in field operations with a focus on cutblock layout and gradually transitioned into overseeing large-scale multiphase forestry projects, managing over 300,000 m³ of annual volume. In recent years, he has expanded his expertise into wildland firefighting, wildfire risk reduction, forest inventory, and forest carbon project development.

As a Forestry Project Manager at Geoterra, Stu draws on his diverse experience to lead a wide range of initiatives across forest management, silviculture, wildfire mitigation, and carbon planning. His comprehensive knowledge of operational forestry and his adaptability across disciplines make him a valuable asset to any project team.
